I love the visual arts.
Coming from a family with absolutely abysmal eyesight, I try to appreciate whatever I see whenever I see it. I love colors, lines, shapes, patterns – everything is so deliberate. Art always has some emotion in the background, but even despite the artist’s intentions, the piece is always open to fluid interpretation.
I love trying to come up with my own meaning for a piece, and when I create visual art, whether it’s on paper or through a camera, I always wonder how other people see it. Art gives me a chance to share my perspective, to share the visual world that I see.
Let’s hope my eyesight stays good enough to keep appreciating beauty.
