Prose has never been my strongest point. My English teachers would often tell me that my essays were disorganized, that they lacked structure and cohesiveness. To be fair, those were all pretty valid points.
But I find that it’s easier to create a better piece when you’re writing about something a little more personal, as opposed to writing a paper on some book you weren’t really that excited about reading anyway.
These pieces of prose, I write from the heart. Yes, even the college essay. I put my everything (heh) into it, and when I finished writing it, I felt a little pride well up in my heart.
Here’s to always improving and constantly progressing.
